In the UK, I think video camera phones were advertised on TV in 2005... the crappy advert used to piss me off.
Jurassic Park nearly 20 years ago? I still remember some friends at school talking about having been to the cinema to watch it over the weekend. One of them bought a JP pencil case. Did you ever play the games? They let you control the Sam Neil guy armed with a tranquilizer or play as the velociraptor. Seemed fun at the time.
I really don't know what to say about the Yeti rumours, lol. Let me sleep on it. Yeah, I do agree, somebody would've seen one by now.

I'm in the minority, but I didn't enjoy Anchorman or most other Will Ferrel comedies. I didn't laugh once, not cause I sat there like Mr. grumpy bollocks... it just wasnt funny or clever humour to me. Weird Science on the other hand =

I want this poster for my rooooooom: http://www.siamvillage.com/ebaystore/farang/diehard.jpg
One problem, his machine gun is all wrong. Should be an MP-5 dammit!

...and I was thinking the new Spidy previews were disinteresting. I liked Toby, but you do have a point about his dullness.

A fun lil make believe article ~ What If the Dreamcast Won?

Sup Joey. I have never actually said "sup" in real life lol.

I never played the Jurassic Park games, but I did play Turok: Dinosaur Hunter lol.  It was ok but I was looking for something to replace (and also replicate) Goldeneye and it just didn't live up to the legend.  I did like the multi-player though, there was one game mode where one player is a small monkey and the rest have to hunt and kill it lol.  That was Turok wasn't it? Or am I thinking of something else?

Lol yeah Nog that's Harry Enfield and Chums, I remember watching that episode.  Always enjoyed that show. I wonder what Harry is doing these days.

You planning to buy that poster Nog?

I watched another classic 80's action movie tonight.  Escape from New York.  A true classic, you gotta love Kurt Russell in that role.  Shame the sequel didn't live up to the original.  I  might have an 80's revival and watch a load of 80's movies for the next couple of weeks :yep:

That's an interesting article diamond.  There are a few like it floating around out there.  Alas it was not to be.  Do you think Sega would still be making consoles now if the Dreamcast had been as successful as the Gamecube?

Further developments with potential "cloaking" technology: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-18181201

What would you do if you could become invisible?

Honestly, if it was as successful as GameCube, it would have still failed because GC was almost a failure... actually I think it was compared to PS2 and Xblock. Resident Evil and Zelda were what made GC float, IMO. I'm thinking it would have taken a more Wii like approach to save them. Hmm feels like N-dawg took some tips from Sega's peripherals.

It'd be fun to go invisible! One could steal the last cookie from the cookie jar w/o being caught! :P

Being invisible would bring a lot of temptation wouldn't it.  Cookies would probably be the least of it lol.  I guess once there are no consequences you would learn who you really are.  Unless you are very moral person one thing you would never have to worry about again is money, you would be able to go where you want and take what you want.

I saw The Dictator in the cinema today, it's an ok movie and typical of Cohen.  Basically don't see it if you're easily offended.

Anyway I'm off to get some kip lads.

Any of you own a smart phone? Are they worth the money?

I don't have one, but I've got friends who do. I guess it depends on the phone really, I've got a friend who has a Droid and he sings its praises constantly and says he never has any problem out of it. I have another friend who has an HTC Smartphone and she's always complaining about how she needs to get her phone routed so she can rid of the bloat programs that are pre-installed useless and taking up valuable memory.

Noooo ty for fb phone! Dont want fb preying on all my contacts and personal info. I have a semi-intelligent android cell, it's real nice! 100% better than Windows Mobile plus not as restricted on sharing content from pc/mac like the iPhone.

I'm sticking with my old brick phone for now, all I really need are texts and phone calls.

They are making 2 TV series based on Silence of the Lambs characters :yearight:

The first is called Hannibal (guess who that's about): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2243973/

Second will be called Clarice: http://www.imdb.com/news/ni29073627/

I think they might be flogging a dead horse here, but maybe they can be good?

P.S. Prometheus is out this weekend!! :D.  Been looking forward to this one for a long time.  If anyone has seen it or knows anything about it please don't give it away, I want to be surprised.  I just hope a true "alien" shows up.

Apparently the sixth largest French city is ....London lol.  Seriously, it is the city with the sixth largest French population in the world, larger than the likes of Bordeaux.  I find that almost incredible (in the literal sense of the word that is).  But apparently the French in London consider it to be the place to go for adventure: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-18234930

Frankly I would prefer France myself (if I could speak the language) ....great weather you see.

Scientists have found a way to allow paralysed rats to walk again: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-18257077

Could possibly bode well for the future, although I wouldn't like to think how they managed to have paralysed rats on hand.

Remember a while back I posted an article about the mysterious day centuries ago when part of North America was plunged into darkness during daylight hours? Well here are some potential explanations given by others who read the article lol:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-18278327

My guess is it was just a solar eclipse.
